Sept 27, 1956 Qualifications for regular and associate members were defined.
Oct 3, 1956 Membership base was established with 9 regular members and 9 associate members.

Membership qualification guidelines

KOA members are required to be qualified as follows:


(1) Regular member

Regular members must 1) possess the medical license of Korea, 2) agree to the purpose of KOA, 3) have been registered as an associate member for at least three years and 4) be approved by the KOA board of directors.
Candidates who have overseas qualifications equivalent to those required in Korea must submit a self-introduction letter along with the registration fee and membership will be considered for approval by the board of directors.

(2) Provisional member

Provisional members should possess the medical license of Korea and agree to the purpose of KOA before submitting their membership qualification for approval by the board of directors.
